Don’t SettleMarch 13, 2018
So many people are walking around frustrated, irritated, hurt, depressed, etc. Negative, draining emotions are an indication that you are going against the grain. Meaning you are basically mad because things are not going the way that you think they should or you’re focusing on what you can’t change. When things don’t go the way we think they should, it’s because there’s a lesson we need to learn or things simply aren’t meant to be that way. Just because we feel or want things to occur a certain way doesn’t mean we’re right. Perhaps, it’s not what’s best for us. Another reason that things may not be going your way is because your energy is off. What I mean is that your thought life is out of balance.
Thoughts create emotions and emotions create beliefs. Those elements together make up the type of energy that you have and you send that energy frequency out. Simply put, you receive what you believe. Life is responding to the thoughts, emotions, and beliefs that are stored in your subconscious. Either way, your faith is working for you, good or bad. This is why it’s best to focus on the positive things that you DO want. It may take a little bit more work to convince yourself that good is still possible after bad has happened so much. It’s not always easy, but it’s possible.
I’ve had to do this multiple times and sometimes it is easy. Sometimes my energy and thought life are off, so it’s not so easy. Nevertheless, I realize a pattern. When my mind isn’t right, neither is my life. It seems that I attract all sorts of nonsense. ON the contrary, when I’m on my game pertaining to my thought life, things flow. HOWEVER! There are times when things flow smoothly and tests pop up. Sometimes, I pass. Sometimes, I fail.
I still get plenty of practice in intentionally focusing on, meditating upon, and believing for good things to happen, even when it seems that things are moving in slow motion and not manifesting fast enough. Yet, I’ve learned (and continue to learn) to just flow and live in the present moment. I only get frustrated when things don’t go the way I think they should. During those moments, I try to force things and that still doesn’t make things occur. Force only breeds frustration. Nevertheless, I seem to find peace when I choose to chill out and trust and know and believe that everything will work out to be just as it should.
Life is going to always present challenges. I don’t care how saved, religious, or spiritual you are. I don’t care what spiritual gifts you may have and how long you have been “tapping in”. It’s just reality. We can’t control everything, but what we can control is our thoughts, which consequently determines our mood and influences how our life goes.
For example, you can have two people that have both experienced losing their job. The person who chooses to complain and view the situation from a negative perspective is just going to stay in a bad mood and make the bad situation worse, as if it may not be bad enough. The other person who chooses to remain optimistic and believe that it happened for a reason and tend to look forward to better, is more apt to experience positive emotions and beliefs because of their positive thinking. That type of reaction is basically an indication of faith. God grants us grace but many times, He moves based on faith. Overall, your thoughts create your reality. So, if thoughts can work for or against you, then do what you can in your power to choose the good. Again, you can’t control everything, but you CAN control whether or not you choose to live and love your life, regardless!
When you go against the grain and try to “force”, it’s like swimming. You are always instructed that if you’re swimming in the ocean, go with the flow. Swim with the waves. You shouldn’t go against them. That type of force is way too strong for you to combat. If you go against the waves, they will take you under. BOOM! Go against the flow and you drown! Understand? There’s no way to win!
There is no alternative so just go with the way God has meant for things to flow. Simple but complicated…I know, but help yourself and alleviate the unnecessary tension. Don’t make something simple…complicated. Accept, embrace, and ask God to reveal what you need to learn and do to progress to the next round. Otherwise, the lesson will repeat until it’s learned. Life can be simple or complicated. Complications will arise regardless so when the simple arises, don’t make the simple…complicated!
You don’t need to have answers to every question. You don’t need all the power in the world: you have enough power to be happy!
God’s Spirit is in you…use it!
